Take Five Extra Minutes And Do It

Take Five Extra Minutes And Do It

Flossing is such a pain and probably one of the things people skip most when completing their dental regime twice a day and Artistic Touch Dentistry is here to tell you that it’s best to reconsider skipping it.

I hate flossing, plain and simple. My mouth is small and my teeth are close together and I just all around hate it. It’s time consuming and taking the time to wash my face, brush my teeth, and get ready for bed when I come home exhausted is the least I can do. When it comes to the flossing in the morning, it slips my mind. I have to drag myself out of bed and it’s hard enough to remember to brush my hair before I leave let alone remember to floss.

However, every time I visit the dentist they ask me, “have you been flossing?” Of course, I say “no.” This is always followed up by “I can tell.” Then instead of the chitchat that we have been having about the current standings of Dancing With The Stars, she starts on the benefits of flossing. For some reason, this past time at the dentist, what she said stuck in my mind. Brushing is great but flossing is better! This is because the floss gets the hard to reach plaque that your toothbrush can’t and provides many other benefits including:

  • Preventing Gum Disease
  • Prevent Cavities
  • Prevent Cardiovascular Disease
  • Give You Better Smelling Breath
  • Having Whiter Teeth

So next time your alarm goes off, instead of hitting the snooze button for those extra five minutes, get out of bed and save yourself a lifetime of oral problems later down the road. Call Artistic Touch Dentistry to schedule an appointment and learn all about the benefits of flossing!
